Describe your coaching business in one sentence: I am a Nurture Yourself Mentor with a passion to guiding women to become more assertive, by understanding how emotions drive their actions.

Meet Iris:

QUESTION 1: What one book should every coach read - and why?

The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. Feeling connected is a natural human desire - learn your love language to find out how you express and receive "love". Then use this knowledge to create more "self-love and self-care" You will feel more appreciative of yourself, and you can express your natural self more easily, as you will need to conform less to other peoples expectation in return for "feeling loved".

QUESTION 2: Which website do you visit the most?

Facebook - but I have disabled my personal news feed, so I can look around in my groups without distraction. I also chose to not have the Facebook app on my phone.

QUESTION 3: Whom do you admire most?

Brooke Castillo (Master Certified Instructor, Author, Creator for The Life Coach School). I have learned so much by listening to her podcast and reading her books. She taught me to self-coach my mind.

QUESTION 4: What's your vision for your life? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

My intention is to keep working as a Mentor until I am at least 80 - another 30 something years to go!

My plan is to move to a big country block in the southwest of Western-Australia, and work online as well as creating week long retreats for women to re-discover their connection to themselves.

QUESTION 5: What is your "Big Project" at the moment?

My big project is to create on online course about emotional confidence which a delivered in a personal interactive way.

QUESTION 6: What has been your favourite coaching moment so far?

Seeing the transformation of a client who could not name any emotion in herself. She had to take a courageous look inside of herself, and now feels more connected and assertive in expressing herself.

QUESTION 7: What are your Top 3 favourite coaching tools and/or resources?

  • Brooke Castillo Podcast "The Life Coach School"
  • Newsletter from "The Coaching Tools Company"
  • Some of my fav Facebook groups like "Fearless Creators Club" and "Thriving Entrepreneur Circle"

QUESTION 8: What do you love most about being a coach?

I love coaching groups as there is a power in connecting women who are going through a similar experience but feeling alone.

QUESTION 9: Tell us a secret about you...

Some of my values are being persistent and resourceful and this helped me to become a Black Belt in Taekwondo. Most people also don't know that I have identical  twin, as she still lives in Germany and I live in Australia.

QUESTION 10: If you could change one thing in our world, what would it be? And how would you go about it?

I would love to see more practical support for all humans to self-coach their mind by creating more connections to themselves. Humankind is way past the survival state in evolution, but most are still unconscious on how to use our brains power to create what they desire.
