What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Newsletter Sign Up Forms

A visitor may sign up for our Newsletter ('The Launchpad') either by completing one of the Newsletter sign up forms on the site, or by checking the opt-in box during a free resource download or when placing an order. When a visitor signs up we collect their Name and Email Address and use it to send our Newsletter, and a monthly free tool. Our Newsletter is weekly, however we may occasionally send other one off communications about specific topics. You may unsubscribe from our Newsletter at any time using the link provided in every newsletter, or by contacting us.

Order and Payment Data

When visitors places an order, we collect the data shown on the checkout page as well the visitor's IP address. We use this data to process the payment for the order and to deliver the digital products purchased to you.

PLEASE NOTE: We do NOT store any credit card information and will only use the data provided for matters directly related to your order.

Contact forms

When visitors complete the contact form we collect the data supplied on that form as well the visitor's IP address. We only ever use this information to respond to your request.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data supplied in the comments form, as well as the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam comment detection.

Embedded content from other websites

There are a few articles on this site that include embedded content (e.g. youtube videos, images etc.). Who we share your data with

When you place an order, we share your billing and payment details with:

  • Stripe for credit card payment processing.
  • Paypal for payments using via Paypal.

PLEASE NOTE: We do NOT store or process any credit card information on our website servers.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we share your name and email data with ActiveCampaign, who provide our email list and newsletter management service.

When you submit a comment on our website, an anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you use it. If you do have/use a Gravatar, and after approval of your comment, your Gravatar profile picture is then made visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How long we retain your data

Order and Payment Data

We retain order data indefinitely to allow us to provide customer support, answer questions and re-issue your download links if requested.

Comments

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Contact forms

We retain contact form data indefinitely so that we have an audit trail of customer support issues and our responses.

Newsletter Sign Up Forms

You will remain subscribed to our newsletter until you decide to unsubscribe (using the link provided or by contacting us). After unsubscribing your data will be retained for up to 6 months and then deleted. You will no longer receive our newsletters.

What rights you have over your data

If you have placed an order on this site, have left comments, submitted a contact form or signed up for our newsletter you can request to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.

You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Do we send your data outside of the EU?

This website is hosted in a US data centre by a high performance, secure host, and all data is stored in that location. All data including that of EU citizens will be collected, stored and processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
