Meet Inga:

QUESTION 1: What one book should every coach read - and why?

The Soul of Money by Lynne Twist.

Lynne Twist is one of my personal heroes and one of the best coaches I know. Her book encourages us to look at our relationship with money and to move from a scarcity mindset to one of enoughness.

QUESTION 2: Which website do you visit the most?

As I am taking a transformational investing course at the moment I am visiting www.ruleoneinvesting.com a lot. I highly recommend you check it out if you are at all curious on how to grow your personal wealth by taking responsibility for your investing.

Also, their podcast "Invested" is really good, and Danielle Town's new book is a good introduction to this DIY model.

QUESTION 3: Whom do you admire most?

I admire so many people who, in their own way, make such a contribution to the world be it in their family, community, with their work or on a more global scale.

I highly regard women like Lynne Twist (Pachamama Alliance), Celeste Mergens (Days for Girls) or my coaching friend Zoe Wild (One Light Global) who started incredible non-profits.

Lately I meet and spend time with two families who have kids with autism. I admire the parents so much for the dedication to their children and their strength to be with a challenging situation.

In general, I admire people who take a powerful stand for something they believe in, have integrity and are full of love and compassion.

QUESTION 4: What's your vision for your life? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

My vision for my life is to contribute to the best of my ability to a socially just, spiritually fulfilling and environmentally regenerative human presence in this world. In five years from now:

  • I want my full focus to be on helping to "move money from harm to healing" in the financial sector and business world. I will do this through coaching people in ethical wealth management, co-creating positive investing products and educating people around their choices.
  • Along the way, I continue to empower people to become conscious leaders inspired to make a difference in the world.
  • I have the honour to work with awesome and inspiring change makers and my work allows me to discover the world through travel.
  • I have honed in my personal investing skills so that I have created a strong foundation of financial security, that allows me the freedom to get really involved in projects I love.
  • I am feeling fulfilled and am healthy. My kids are awesome young men ready to explore what they want to create in life.
  • I am in a spiritually fulfilling, intellectually stimulating  and sexually ecstatic long-term relationship with an incredible man.

QUESTION 5: What are your Top 3 Goals at the moment?

  1. Finishing my investing course and learning everything I can.
  2. Enrolling 5 new clients in the next 4 weeks.
  3. Have 100 interviews to hone in on my marketing message for my ideal clients.

QUESTION 6: What has been your favourite coaching moment so far?

I love the moments when deep connection is present and my client has an aha moment. The specific one that comes to mind is when I represented my coaching school CTI (Coaches Training Institute) at a trade show. We were giving laser coaching sessions to random people. A woman, who never had heard of coaching and was also not in the position to work with a coach, signed up for a session. She was marginalized by her socio economic reality and had a dispute with her landlord. I felt that after our conversation there was a renewed hope and determination. She was able to step out of the "victim mode" and felt empowered and worthy... I think for the first time in a long time. It felt really good to witness that shift in her, and taught me a lot about my own prejudice and assumptions. It was a very humbling and beautiful experience.

QUESTION 7: What are your Top 3 favourite coaching tools and/or resources?

  1. Be clear and get connected to who you are being as a coach before every session: connect to the intention of being present and in service to transformation.
  2. Encouraging my clients to check in with their body in order to get out of their head.
  3. In group coaching - debriefs are my favourites!
  4. And of course acknowledgement!

QUESTION 8: What do you love most about being a coach?

Raising consciousness, both for my clients and myself. Listening and really seeing another person. Feeling connected.

QUESTION 9: Tell us a secret about you...

I am really tall - 6 feet 1 inch,  but have small feet 😉

QUESTION 10: If you could change one thing in our world, what would it be? And how would you go about it?

I want to be part of changing the world of finance and the way we do business.

My work is already aimed towards making changes in those systems, by encouraging conscious leadership and holistic business practices through my coaching. I am actively am learning about impact investing and  channeling money to businesses that contribute to a better future.
