Lynda Monk is a Transformational Journaling Coach and a Registered Social Worker. She began writing for The Coaching Tools Company in 2012 about the art of journaling for coaches and the power of personal writing to help us heal and grow. Her expertise comes from decades of personal journaling and teaching journal writing as a tool for self-discovery and burnout prevention with helping and healthcare professionals. She has also co-authored/co-edited numerous books on journal writing. She is co-creator, along with Dr. Eric Maisel, of The Art of Journal Coaching - a popular training program that teaches others how to bring the transformational power of journaling into their own coaching work.

Lynda Monk, MSW, RSW, CPCC is an author, speaker, registered social worker, certified professional coach, and Director of the International Association for Journal Writing (IAJW.org) and founder of LyndaMonk.com.

For more than 30 years, she has helped people harness the power of writing for self-discovery, healing, creativity, and personal growth. Lynda is a recognized leader in the journaling field and co-editor of The Great Book of Journaling; Transformational Journaling for Coaches, Therapists, and Clients; Writing Alone Together and other titles. She is author of The Adoptee’s Guide to Healing, Wholeness & Growth and loves supporting fellow adoptees with this work.

Through her workshops, courses, and global journaling community, Lynda inspires people to connect more deeply with themselves, their stories, and their creative potential.

She lives with her family on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada.
