About Leah

Lives In: North Georgia, USA

Company: Breathe Financial Coaching

Type of Coach: Financial Coach

Describe your coaching business in one sentence: I help people learn to manage their finances so they experience peace and breathing room when they think about money.

Meet Leah

In a recent conversation with Dr Steve Jeffs and Erwin de Grave, Leah Adams shared her remarkable journey from pharmacist to financial coach. Now based in the mountains of North Georgia, Leah is dedicated to helping individuals and couples create breathing room in their finances and build lasting stability. Her mission is clear: to empower others to make confident financial decisions and experience true freedom from debt.

Leah’s path into coaching wasn’t one she expected. After retiring from a demanding pharmacy career, she initially trained as a life coach. But it wasn’t until she heard financial expert Dave Ramsey on the radio that her true calling became clear. What started as an unexpected nudge quickly became a passion—and a thriving coaching business known as Breathe Financial Coaching.

Helping Others Breathe Financially

Leah isn’t your average financial coach. She brings empathy, real-world experience, and a deep belief in the power of transformation. Having once been over a million dollars in debt herself, she now runs her business debt-free and helps others do the same. Leah’s approach is grounded in creating stability—both financial and emotional—through structured, judgment-free coaching.

She guides clients to build foundational tools like budgets, understand emotional triggers around money, and ultimately shift their financial futures. For Leah, this work is about more than just money—it’s about legacy. When one person learns to manage money wisely, they influence generations to come.

From Pharmacy to Financial Freedom

Leah’s transition from pharmacy to coaching was driven by a desire for more purpose and freedom. Long hours, corporate restrictions, and physical demands took their toll in her previous career. But coaching offered something more—flexibility, autonomy, and the ability to make a real impact.

After completing Ramsey’s Financial Master Coach training in 2020, Leah fully stepped into her new path. Today, she enjoys the freedom of working from anywhere (even while traveling with her husband in their fifth wheel camper), all while helping clients across the country gain clarity and control over their finances.

The Emotional Side of Money

Money isn’t just math—it’s deeply emotional. Leah understands this well and incorporates emotional exploration into her coaching sessions. She helps clients uncover their financial histories, address feelings of shame or anxiety, and rediscover dreams they’ve buried under years of debt.

One of Leah’s most powerful tools is a “money history assessment,” where clients reflect on how their family of origin dealt with money and how those patterns influence their current habits. This level of self-awareness is a key part of Leah’s success in helping others make meaningful change.

Coaching for Couples and Singles Alike

Leah works with both singles and couples, but she places special emphasis on helping couples get aligned financially. She believes that financial harmony is critical in marriage and insists both partners attend all sessions. Her coaching addresses crucial questions often overlooked before marriage: Who will manage the bills? How do each of us view debt and savings? What are our shared dreams?

Whether preparing for marriage or navigating financial tension in an existing relationship, Leah helps clients "row the boat in the same direction"—toward shared goals and mutual understanding.

Coaching with Contentment and Clarity

One of Leah’s guiding principles is contentment. She believes society’s obsession with debt and consumerism robs people of peace and future opportunities. Her coaching challenges the “keeping up with the Joneses” mentality by teaching clients to slow down, examine their true needs versus wants, and understand the opportunity costs of every financial decision.

Through tools like budgeting, emotional awareness, and values-based decision-making, Leah helps people reclaim their financial health—and their dreams.

A Delicate Balance: Coach and Teacher

Leah walks the fine line between expert and coach with humility and skill. While she offers knowledge and guidance, she also creates space for clients to think critically, reflect, and make empowered choices. Her heart is in service, and whether she’s teaching about opportunity cost or helping someone craft their first budget, Leah brings compassion and clarity to every conversation.

In Conclusion: Breathing Room, Financial Freedom

Leah’s journey is a story of reinvention, purpose, and helping others experience peace through financial coaching. From helping couples align their values to supporting singles through budgeting breakthroughs, Leah’s impact is far-reaching. She believes in slowing down, living with intention, and using money as a tool—not a trap.

Whether you're drowning in debt, preparing for marriage, or simply seeking a healthier relationship with money, Leah is here to help you breathe—and build a better financial future.
