4 Inspiring Quotes for International Women's Day (with images)

For International Women's Day, we thought we'd create some fun inspiring quotes for you to share.

Choosing the quotes was easy. I'm a big fan of Eleanor Roosevelt (who managed to carve out a place for herself as more than just the wife of the president, making great strides in advancing human rights and continuing in politics for 17 years after her husband died!). I am also a fan of Coco Chanel's feminism and belief in women's equality.

Finally, it always annoyed me in that English childhood rhyme that little girls were made of "sugar and spice and all things nice" (and I never understood why boys were made of "slugs and snails" either), so I loved the inspiring quote I found from Bethany Hamilton about what "little girls are made of" - I hope you love it too. Enjoy.

Here are the 4 Quotes for International Women's Day:

  1. "A girl should be two things: who and what she wants." Coco Chanel
  2. "A woman is like a tea bag; you never know how strong it is until it's in hot water." Eleanor Roosevelt
  3. "I believe that anyone can conquer fear by doing the things she fears to do." Eleanor Roosevelt
  4. "Courage, sacrifice, determination, commitment, toughness, heart, talent, guts. That's what little girls are made of." Bethany Hamilton
