This bonus beautiful love quote is one of my favourites on self-love:

“Behold thyself in glory. Love thyself as I love you. In this way you honour me. It is my duty to love myself deeply, totally, unconditionally. To see myself as something of great worth. To do less is to deny the task for which I was born. What of my faults and inadequacies? I resolve to love them as part of who I am. I am beautiful because of them. They are part of my uniqueness, like markings on a wild animal. They give me flavour. Make me real. I allow myself and others to make mistakes, miss opportunities and make foolish decisions. I recognise and accept my vulnerability and fragility. My quirks and idiosyncrasies—all part of who I am. I am beautiful and special because of my humanness—in fact, this is where my true beauty lies. As the day accepts the sun and the night accepts the moon, so I accept myself. And so I become complete and whole.”
John Kehoe

To go deeper with these quotes about love, here are 3 next steps:

As you may already know, one of the core principles of Fierce Kindness is creating a deep connection with yourself. So:

  1. Consider which beautiful quote on love:
    • Most UNSETTLES you
      and
    • Most INSPIRES you?
  2. Write out these 2 quotes about love in your journal and ponder these questions over a quiet cup of tea or coffee:
    • WHY do you think you were drawn to them?
    • WHAT do you think the each quote is trying to say to YOU specifically?
    • What are some IDEAS you’ve been having, of changes you could make in your life—however small? (consider how you love yourself, others, your attitude to love, how you feel about life etc.)
  3. Finally, to go even deeper, put your 2 chosen beautiful love quotes somewhere you’ll see them often. And then over the next month, make an effort to notice these quotes—and each time you do, ask:
    • What is this quote teaching me today/now?

Great list of quotes about love, except #16 lists the author as “Anonymous”. Actually, the beginning of the book of 1 Corinthians identifies the author as the Apostle Paul.

(“Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes, To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in.” 1 Corinthians 1:1)
